BENFICA V CELTIC NEXT WEEK

I'm sorry if you don't like football , but the biggest thing in Portugal next week is obviously the benfica/celtic game !!!!

a few weeks ago i was very confident because we have a better team this year than we did last year - but over the last few weeks we have been decimated with injuries.

we have 3 right backs injured - so we have no idea who is going to play there

we have 2 midfield players injured - hartley and Brown ( probably our best player ) and our striker Venegoor of Hesselink is out too ... !

no matter what happens, it can't be as bad as last year, when we played as badly as i have ever seen Celtic play...

I reckon it will be a draw. what do you think Benficistas ? you probably have to win if you want to qualify.

Can you give me the low down on your team please - i hear you have a few injuries, and your new signings are not as good as you first thought.

now remember - if you going to agree or disagree with people - you have to be polite !

why don't we have a small bet ? every suggests a score and puts in 1 euro, and the person who predicts the score wins all the money ! this is the kind of thing we do in Scotland - or is betting still illegal in Portugal ?

Hi everyone!

I believe Benfica will win and I will be there to support them. Anyone else is going to the match?

As for the low downs we can say Benfica as few injuries:
GK - Butt and Moreira;
Defense - David Luiz, Nélson and Edcarlos;
Midfield - Petit
Forward - Nuno Gomes

Add to that the fact that Benfica has a lot of youngsters that lack the experience required in this kind of matches (Míguel Vitor, Freddy Adu and Romeu Ribeiro - 18) (Yu Dabao, Fábio Coentrão and Di Maria - 19) and that a few more players came from south America and are still adapting to european football (Cardozo, Maxi Rodrigues, Andres Diaz and Bergessio) and you can guess that this is going to be a difficult match.

Despite that, I believe Benfica will win 2-0 (Cardozo and Katsouranis) :-)

My Euro is on.

Cheers

Hmm... Talking about the injured players before the game... Doesn't it look like Graham is preparing himself for an humiliating defeat, guys?
