fashion scene in portugal

oh good - something else that i know absolutely nothing about... as you can probably see by the way i dress - i simply don't care. i think 50 % of guys are like this - please tell me if i am wrong. Maybe i did one day, but because of my size it is very difficult to buy things that i like and in my size. It is difficult in Scotland, it is next to impossible in Portugal. XL in Portugal is too small for me, and with size 48 feet there is only one shop i can buy anything in and that is TIMBERLAND because it is an american brand. But I hate clothes that have logos on them. Why pay an extra 30 euros for a shirt with a small crocodile on it, when that shirt was made by slave labour in China or the Phillipines or somewhere like that. I really recommend a book called NO LOGO which tells you all about the practises of big clothing companies. Ever sine then, i refuse to wear any clothes with a logo on it if i can help it. I frequently cut the brand label off my clothes and constantly hunt for clothes that don't have any silly bloody animals on them !!! anyway enough of my rantings - over to you...

Hy everybody!
Well Graham, I'm not so sure about these 50%! Nowadays men in general are becoming more and more worried about their appearance, which includes concerns about clothing, about what to wear. There are some countries that even have fashion magazines for men - there is a masculin Italian Vogue for example. Portugal doesn't have one still, but I think that sooner or later there'll be a masculin Portuguese Vogue.

I find fashion very interesting. For me fashion is not about following trends, I reckon that it's about adapting the trends to your own style, it's about creativity and also comfort.
Being all dressed up in Gucci or wearing Pepe Jeans doesn't make you fashion or not. What matters is what you wear, the way it fits you and how you feel about it, not the brand. As I just said, I think that what you wear can make the difference but by saying it I don't mean that there are some clothes better than others. What I think is that people shouldn't wear some peaces just because their are a trend. If it's trendy and it doesn't look good on you at all and you know it, you shouldn't wear it! Maybe a simple pair of jeans with a stunning or even a basic shirt could be a mutch better choice and make you look gorgeous.

About the fashion scene in Portugal, I reckon that it is getting a great expression. We have great fashion magazines and can now count on really great designers such as Luís Sanchez and João Branco (from Storytailors), Miguel Vieira, Katty Xiomara and Luís Buchinho. Some of these designers have already shown their amazing numbers on important catwalks in Paris and other cities that are fashion references.

Have a nice week
See you Thursday!
